WHAT USES CAN BE IDENTIFIED FOR THE BANDSHELL?

1. Noise/volume (unwanted in immediate neighborhood, park and bay area)

2. Lack of maintenance/cost of upkeep

3. Cost (renovation or new construction)

4. Crowds (in the park)

5. Parking pressure and additional traffic in Excelsior

6. Police and crowd control/public safety (see also #12)

7. Bandshell activities could overwhelm/dominate the rest of the park.

8. Management issues (use of bandshell)

9. Potentially changes the visual landscape of the Commons

10. Will draw outsiders to the park.

11. Potential target for vandalism.

12. Could become a more attractive crime scene.

(there’s not really a good way to frame the last one)
